To discover during your stay at Hotel de la Paix !
Where design is honoured
Since 1999, the Puces du Design has featured a wealth of furniture, clothing and art objects dating from the post-war years up to the dawn of the millennium. You can take a trip back in time and discover the furnishings and decor of the relatively recent past. More than 75 exhibitors from all over Europe gather together to offer their treasures for you to buy or simply admire. An exhibition on the characteristics of design in the 20th century completes the experience. And even if you don’t want to change your own home’s interior design, you can learn more about the furniture designers and decorative styles of the second half of the 20th century in enlightening discussions with the exhibitors.
A fair celebrating the design of the past
Known to be the largest fair of its kind in Paris, the concept of the Puces du Design is based around five themes. The great creations of the last century, featuring exceptional, rare and historically significant items; notable contemporary design brands that made their mark on the period; and the clothing and fashions of yesteryear. There are also dealers in photographs, lithographs and other documents related to the 20th century. The event is rounded out by specialised galleries who will help to complete your knowledge of a period that was so rich in innovations.
Has all this time travel worn you out? Don’t worry; the Hotel de la Paix is close by and you can relax in your comfortable room before continuing your tour of the capital.
